Launched in 2014, Slow Money Vermont is one of 24 Slow Money networks around the country. It is a part of the nationwide non-profit organization Slow Money Institute whose mission is, catalyzing the flow of capital to local food systems, connecting investors to the places where they live and promoting new principles of fiduciary responsibility that “bring money back down to earth.”
Slow Money Vermont is committed to creating more avenues for food system entrepreneurs and farmers to have greater access to the right match of capital to meet their financing needs at their stage of growth and for their scale of business.
SMV makes it possible for Vermonters to invest locally and contribute to the growing practice of sustainable farming and food production in Vermont.
